Indian owner Tolani Shipping has offloaded one of its ageing supramax bulkers.

The Mumbai-based outfit is reported to have sold the 2005-built Prabhu Mihikaa to undisclosed interests for $11.85m. The company has been approached for comment.

The 55,600 dwt Oshima-built unit was picked up by Tolani for $74.25m in 2008, according to Jinhui Shipping’s Hong Kong stock exchange filing.

Tolani Shipping was incorporated in India over five decades ago and has during that time specialised in the dry bulk segment.

The company lists seven owned and two managed vessels on its website. In late July, Tolani was linked to 2017 Oshima-built kamsarmax Xing De Hai in a deal worth $37m. In 2023, the company diversified into the chemical tanker trade and currently owns three J19 stainless steel units.
