Larsen and Toubro (L&T) on Wednesday announced that its Transportation Infrastructure business has secured a large order for Integrated Infrastructure Development project in Town Planning Schemes 2 to 7 under the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) Project in Maharashtra.
The project, it added, has been awarded by City and Industrial Development Corporation Limited (CIDCO) for integrated infrastructure development of 60m and 45m wide roads, construction of various major and minor structures and allied electrical works.
The project will have 4 approach roads of 13.28 Km having major structures (09 Nos) including 3 Iconic steel bridges over Kalundre river and Mumbai-Pune Expressway, minor bridges (12 Nos), underpasses (27 Nos) and approaches to structures, the company said in a regulatory filing. The project also involves the construction of utility works and allied electrical works.
According to the company, the value of significant order is between Rs 1000 crore and Rs 2500 crore, large orders are worth Rs 2500 crore- Rs 5000 crore, major orders are in the range of Rs 5000 crore- Rs 7000 crore and mega orders are worth above Rs 7000 crore.
Earlier in July, L&T had recorded its fiscal first quarter profit at Rs 2785.72 crore, up 11.7 per cent as compared to Rs 2493.00 crore recorded during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 55,119.82 crore, up 15.1 per cent as against Rs 47,882.37 crore posted during the first quarter of previous financial year, with robust execution witnessed in the Projects & Manufacturing (P&M) portfolio on the back of a large order book.
During the first quarter of FY25, L&T received orders worth Rs 70,936 crore at the group level, registering a YoY growth of 8 per cent aided by the strong ordering momentum in the Middle East.
